its kinda eerie
since no one calls anymore
as I was listening
something was scratching at the door
thats when the voice said
do not worry bout the door

shadows dancing in the moon light
creating monsters on the wall
now I sense something
crawling slowly across the floor

I am getting nervous
I do not know whats going on
the door knobs twisting
back and forth
as laughter comes from the phone

I said
who ever this is
you need to leave me alone
the voice replied
you will be sorry
if you end this call

the voice started mumbling
humming some weird song
its getting creepier
as I realize
I am humming along

This sort of reminds me of that old movie
" Don/'/t Answer The Phone"
Very scary and the ending was glorious indeed.
Loved it!

under valued
under valuation
at least the networks got
that part right
almost by mistake
when once before
they haunted me
and they still do
but thats okay
hello I say come on in
you are welcome in this
trailer park
with your groovy tunes
on a cloudy night
Jesus, says Amen
you are my confession
A sentient spiritual beings
come to call
or else they got the wrong number
again
Peace!

A spooky tale sending shivers through me! As I read it, it reminded me of exactly how little control we have over what others chose to do.
Your poem makes us feel exposed and unprotected, as I/'/m sure was your intent! This is the stuff of nightmares. Wonderful and chilling!
