Moonbeams shine from overhead / Silently waiting for you
Painting bright silvery shadows / There beneath a budding oak
Which dance in chill wind / Shivering in anticipation
Softly sift sinuous thoughts / Remembering savory lips
Forming fleeting verdant sighs / Whispering wanton desires
Fluttering to drift down / Closing deeply smitten eyes
Misty motes begin to shimmer / Feeling the beginning of a tear
Sumptuous presence moves close / Softness brushes pale cheek
Coalescing into a delight / As nighttime’s scent surrounds
Where once was shadow / Warm arms now tenderly embrace
Love has taken hold / Love has taken hold

Bravo! How clearly you describe your fall into loves embrace, and all the aspects that blend to seduce you.
Many will relate to your ardent description however dreamy and etherial it is, there is no mistaking the beautiful sound of surrender.
I love the ending: WHERE ONCE WAS A SHADOW WARM ARMS NOW TENDERLY EMBRACE.
I love happy endings!

whimsy,
dearest,
elbow in my eye
in a queen sized bed
all these years,
and still sharing
all the love we two have
I like it when we are together
for a day or several days,
you and me,
And we never have to pretend
but we can whenever we
want
Peace! |
