the confusion that develops in relationships
always creeps up and surprises me
for ever
messin with my mind

I never seem to know
until its to late what matters
then much to soon
I have to deal
with what happens after.

She says we cant go on
I guess I was just a dear other one
that she left behind
I wonder if she thinks about me
now that I am gone

and thats okay
I never meant
to let it get
that strong anyway
though I must admit
the emotion of lost
is causing pain.

the music of love
is hypnotic
and when its playing your tune
all you can do is sway
when you get caught up in it

feelings peel
and fall from the ceiling
as a strobe light illuminates
my latest lost love waltz
as I dance in a daze
forever hoping forever believing

Tired trying to figure out
whats my line

Unlike so many, you poem does not end on a hopeless note, but brings us along the path to find that we can still love again as long as we keep hope alive.
I salute your stalwart adherence to keeping the home fires lit while awaiting another chance for love to consume you.
No matter how many times we are burned, we can always be ignited if we are open to it. What a wonderful message you have shared!

This was a really great write and a lovely spin of words.
Great word choices. I think Jaye was referring to me about hopeless endings but hey I just write what comes to me. Nothing more. That said I agree and really like where you went with this.

To me in the end you controlled your own destiny and therefore not hopeless but very powerful and emotional as well. Resolution in poetry is hard to pull off but here it worked and I like your style.

emotional creatures,
one by one,
like a light flash,
quick as a stroboscope
situated in the deepest forest
of dark
