Laughing and playing
Having lots of fun
Only worrying about roleplaying

You tell me I’ll grow up
That I’ll get over the fear
You tell that It’ll be fine
And that you’ll always be here

Next thing you know
Ten years have gone
And I lay awake
Not wanting it to be dawn

Get up and go
And live your life
That’s what you say
Which causes us the strife

You are confused
You don’t understand
The way I live my life
It’s not what you planned

You watch me worry
I stress and cry
You sit and wait
Not knowing if you should pry

You question my anger
You want to know why
You see I’m not happy
And I’ve stopped wanting to try

You tell me to grow up
To get over the fear
You tell that I’m fine
And things aren’t always as they appear

I want to believe you
I really, really do
But it’s not always that easy
When you are feeling so blue

The fearful anxiety
The tiring depression
And the Feeling of failure
Are not just an expression

When will it get better
When will I feel free
I want to be strong
And as grounded as a tree

I need it to end
I need to be free
And I think my whole family
All would agree

Now I’m twenty-two
And all I have to say
Life isn’t easy
But it helps if you pray

Many here live in that place or have spent time there. You can feel this way at a 102...
Great writing and the flow was superb for a lengthy write. Don/'/t feel alone... At this point I/'/d be happy just to live my own life. God bless you.

Everyone means well, but they are preaching to the choir. I have been battling depression since I was 15. There isn/'/t a cure, Yet. But if we take it day by day, instead of year by year, it seems easier to bite off and chew.
Writing about it sheds sunshine on a dark landscape. Keep up your poetry! Your voice is reaching others who may need to hear it.

The main thing I/'/ve taken away from this is, nobody understand you better than you do yourself.
People give advice because in their mind they are helping, but I guess the only one who can truly give accurate advice is someone in the same position
Nice write

Steve
