anguished

Hi my name is not important
just know that i am a addict
and I am addicted
to what ever gets me lit
I dont hurt nobody
dancing in spirits is how I have fun
I am not crying
I aint a victim
Im just on a off balance run
I got a good heart and I care
but it aint fair
every time I leave lil helpers alone
demons and triggers suddenly appear
I am at a meeting
and I am so sauced
I vomit on the floor
forgotten why I am here
do not know what I am doing anymore
but when I am swimming
in the bottle,
the pain fades
as I navigate lifes maze...
is there something that I am needing
is there some place I should go
I keep my affliction to myself
no one else needs to know
when it is all said and done
there will be no excuse
I lose my slim grip on reality
every time I hit the juice
it is not fair
and
I do care
under the influence once again
and I am needing to share
but its hard to keep it together
when there are triggers every where

I hesitate to say "great write" but it is.
Full of anguish and pain. If it is about the poet himself
he needs to exercise his demons. I would suspect unresolved issues create the addictive behavior.
Two choices are at the forefront in such of a case. Go the normal path or fight back and regain control of your life and soul. Resolve your issues and chase your demons away. When we isolate ourselves the issues become harder to overcome. Don/'/t ever think you/'/re alone..
Every path in life has been well traveled..... The good and bad.
God Bless.
Please excuse this generic advice. It does come from one who doesn/'/t know what/'/s going on but truly cares.

Been there, dude. Still there, but without the sauce. You won/'/t quit until you decide you/'/re sick of living in the misery you yourself are creating.
You acknowledge you are an addict. So am I. It sucks...same as saying "I have emphysema". It sucks, but I have it. the difference is, you can/'/t will emphysema away, but you CAN will the bottle away....if you are sick of being sick.
There is life on the other side, and trust me man, it IS Better. /'/Demons/'/ and /'/triggers/'/ are just lame excuses to continue being miserable.
PM me if you want to get with someone who has the same affliction as you, but has willed it away and is the better for it.
I/'/ve read your poems, many of them, and you have a mind. How do you choose what to do with your mind? Run from it, or, embrace it and get back on the effin /'/ bus.
Good poem.

Although not an addict, this one hit my heart. I have one particular relative that is in this same exact situation and I hurt for him. You’ve penned the inner runroil, the struggle perfectly. Thank you for posting and may Jesus bless you beyond what you can imagine,

Me, myself..I cant relate to what you have so
brilliantly penned here with great sadness. I do
however have a family member that is. I takes great
strength to admit that you have a problem. And also
the fact that you have said that you "Do Care" shows
that you still have time to change how you choose
to live with and handle your "triggers and demons"
God Bless and I will keep you in my prayers. If you
ever need someone to vent to you can have my ear.
Feel free to PM me anytime.
