The ebb and flow
Of the tide
Mimic the world of you and I
Our worlds always seem to collide
Only with the calming of the sea
Can we ever commence to be

Good little poem here, James. Life is indeed a series of ebbs and tides. How we roll with them defines the quality of our life.

There is something beautiful and terrifying about the ocean that can relate to our daily lives. Calm and chaotic. Nice work man.

The ocean is the perfect physical description of our
lives. Whenever we reach a "calm" one thing that
we have to always remember is that is only the "eye"
of the storm. It is just a brief time given to us for us
to catch our breath before getting hit again. Life is
chock full of double whammies. Great piece my friend
So much said in so few words.

There is beautiful balance in the oceans cycles and our own. And as others point out, calm and turmoil as well.
Your verse leaves me wondering what life would be like if we could truly control it?
Perhaps we poor mortals would just make a bigger mess much faster!
Romance was not meant to be ours to steer. And I so enjoyed the oceanic swells of your lovely and wise words here spoken. softerware!
