their enough
to drive you nuts
most are so easy
to slip into
and most are
a phycological nightmare
to get out
in my years i/'/ve had
my near death experiences
my one step away
from going insane
my nodding acquaintance
with the dark and the broken
within alleyways
between the bins
where loneliness and suicides
compete
the brave attempt
to delete the pain
surfing the waves
trying to touch
reality again

SHE whisperd
i love you
as i was floating
high as a kite
i was steady in the wind
for a while
we used hit the bars
every night
for years
singing the same songs
hiding from life

Things slowly
started to change
when her best friend
began the pain
deep within
the place
that i fear
so began the change
the slow
transformation
to the stage
where i
can unlock the cage
where my untrained shadows
and my rage
wait silently for me
to come of age

Up to this day
i still don/'/t
understand why
i didn/'/t release them
from their chains
try as i might
looking back
pondering
on my life
it/'/s amazeing
how you can survive
with only
me myself and i
to lean on
in a world
that/'/s designed
to be Paranoid

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
