weary mind
a feeling
of being hollow
inside

Ive got the usual
on my
face book posts
with tacked on group hug
likes
that make me sigh
when i
try to smile

Ive got the newest
trending clothes
Ive got the boardwalk
t.v pose
with a body
that would make
an anorexic
cry

Ive got the standard
plastic smile
and ive got a strong urge
to cry
but ive got no one to cry to

Ive got a lot of face book
friends
where verbal diarrhea
pretends

Ive got a knife
that keeps calling out
my name

Oh please
someone pick up
my hope
and hold me
close
for i need some one
to help me
grow
while i/'/m
still here
before
there is
nobody home

Well that first part I can definitely relate to, and say I/'/ve felt that way more often and for more periods of time than I can count.

The strange part for me is the ending- but for a different reason than one may expect.

See I don/'/t ever feel that way, because the way I look at it, I don/'/t vent often- in part because I don/'/t want to burden people, but also in part because it/'/s better to vent about something that you have to little to no understanding of over something you do understand because in the end(unless you have serious mental illness) you are your best therapist. It may take some time, but you/'/ll crack it. And why shouldn/'/t you find your self to be a little crazy when you feel hollow or dead in a world that is constantly moving?

The way I see it, we have to treat our selves as our own therapists, and not just as our selves. Otherwise we can/'/t step out of our emotional state and look at our selves from the outside. But hey, I/'/m crazy so maybe that/'/s just the insanity talking ;)

Good release of emotional torture
hang in there
your time will come
when someone will pick you up
