[bodytext] => I have a warfighter spirit.
But, I’m trained in peace.
I’ve done all I can to deter my nature.
At some point, you may need to step aside; and, let me work.
If I don’t think about where I am, but only where I’m going - I thrive.
It’s when I peel the sleep from my weeping lids, and take a peek, that I’m stunned into a deafening silence.
I cannot encapsulate these thoughts, these feelings, or this momentum.
I will stagnate and die.
A fate I would barter, for no other reason, than having a tarnished soul.
From sight, thought, presence, and a kind of reality.
There’s no way to understand - just forget.
And step into the chaos.

A courageous fighter for peace,
and one who understands human flaws
even their own - is required now, more
than ever!
Well written and thoughtful poem!
Peace! |

Seems you tend to fight you natural spirit. Perhaps there is a way to steer it into a usable direction. May sound silly, but Ghostrider comes to mind. |
