really cool, existential
It hits the mind, talks to him
some thoughts searching for
some prospective / somehow
like a pot of gold / or better
than

I really like this. Most people hear
it when they read what you wrote
--- it aint rote
Great job!
Peace!

Each stanza of your poem is a complete statement on its own merit.
Your write is wealthy with truths and speaks to your beliefs and experiences. I enjoyed disassembling it and
found it to be so well constructed that each statement stands on its own. Quite a feat, which makes it such a pleasure to read.
You honor your readers by wasting no words, and we are flattered and appreciative.

I love this simple phrase - "excavated dreams". really wonderful imagery all throughout the piece. it/'/s dark, but somehow has a happy ending. love it!

Yes sir. .. .

And in other unrelated/related news, with the mention of dying butterflies and such ... for no reason at all I will tell you I’m currently housing a former wooly bear caterpillar (now cocooned), in my home. 🤷‍♀️ Since you’re curious, his (?) name is Wookie. Wook for short 😉.

None of us can escape metamorphosis in the end, huh?
