To record my song from last fall
I thought of all of those no longer here
Those I held close, so dear
My, my, my,
I wish I could get out
Just disappear
Run from here
My legs sank to the floor
My eyes fixated on the door
Life now travels so fast
I have my doubts, how long will I last
I wish I knew the secrets hidden here
How things have changed since last year
My, my, my
I feel the grief in my feet
All those memories are hidden beneath
It was only last year
My, my, my

Our loved ones reside in our memories and as long
as our minds hold out and remember those that we
have lost will live forever. And when our time comes
we will once again be in their company. What a
beautifully written piece.
Thank you for sharing :)

Rich

"My, my, my
I feel the grief in my feet"

I love this line....not /'/pain/'/, but /'/grief/'/.

Well done James,

Mike

This is sad but really has a great flow. *sigh* The life of a poet.

"Now, I`m the only one here"

That line really hits home for me.

Write it out. They say it helps.

Take care, Jimmy

Timmy

Your words remind me that as my time runs out, it becomes more precious. Our loved ones leave us here and we mourn.
Your poem is the tale of the last man standing. Such is the price we pay for being the late borns.
Let us honor them by living well.
My, my, my.
