I think of all the good memories of us together
All the storms we weathered

I`m listening but not seeing

Yeah, just like lightning
No longer exciting.

I try to tell myself
It`s a fight not worth fighting

Your love is so frightening
Just like lightning
But when I`m alone

You have taken us through your thinking process on this one, a step at a time.
I like the conclusion ITS A FIGHT NOT WORTH FIGHTING. Love is gone.
The rhyme scheme makes it sound like a song when read outloud! Just like lightening.
