Nighttime falls as moonlight streams
Through my window, into my dreams
Eyelids flutter, through silver motes
I walk a land that sleep denotes
Within the slips of loosened ties
I see the glow of loving eyes
I take your hand, its warmth divine
The poetry of hearts entwine
Rising up now face to face
The moon to witness our embrace

Yet all too soon the dream is shed
I wake to find myself in bed
Still, the moonlight streams above
Loss begins to fade the love
Yet I turn, as someone sighs
To see the glow of loving eyes

I love happy endings! I was all prepared for sad reality to rear its head, and you found your love in bed instead!
A lovely feel good story, where truth is more lovely than dreams.
Thank you for sharing!

so beautiful! I love these lines -

"The poetry of hearts entwine" and

"Loss begins to fade the love"

to be loved in both dreams and reality is, in my opinion, the ultimate win!
