or whimsy whimsy,
that little stream,
in YPDC.

Where we once roam,
in IQ Land,
where flowers bloom,
and fairies danced.

There were pixies,
wizards and rangers,
legionnaire gloomy,
and maiden warders.

Where hope was made,
ambition shared,
whilst sipping mead,
lounging lawn chairs.

Waterfall pools,
and tall tall trees,
where the owl flew,
in poetic breeze.

Was it a dream,
or whimsy whimsy,
May the stars still gleam,
in YPDC. [comments] => 6 [counter] => 202 [topic] => 38 [informant] => baronhawk [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Tributes )

What a great write this was.
Charming with a great flow too.
You/'/ve been around about 16 years so you should know.
You/'/re doing YPDC a great service. Kudos!

oh dear, baronhawk, conjuror of nostalgia and memory.

A lovely tribute and it is replete with your poetic flair. IQ land was
a magical, magical place, as is this poem. Thank you for summing
it up so wonderfully here. Your pen (as has always done in the past)
painted the picture so beautifully in my mind.

An exquisite addition to the main page. Thank you, friend

Sounds so like a magical place that I am sorry I missed it. HOPE WAS MADE AMBITION SHARED...the comradery of writers. Musicians without instruments...whose lyrics sing memories, emotions, and nostalgia.
It is, I gather, a place from whence YPDC came.
Like any neighborhood, it has changed over the years. Thank you for remembering. A lovely story of a place that once was, by those who were there.
