I`m not ready to die
How many times do I have to lie
This isn`t goodbye
You`re all I`ve ever had
I don`t want us both to be sad
I`d like to keep it real
But I know how you feel
When the sunshine shadows the Rhine
You`ll know it`s time
And in your heart you`ll know
I`ll be fine

A sweet goodbye. Your words are of a loved one trying to apply logic and common sense to love.
You have pointed out the futility of the effort.
I love the reassuring closure you take time to offer.
Kindness thrives in your wise heart.

This is a sweet goodbye. But love cannot be placed
in the same sentence with logic and common sense.
That is like trying to mix oil and water. To me
although death a sad time it is also a time to celebrate
the life of the loved one that has gone on to a better
place. You are right when you said "This isnt
goodbye"...Although our loved one is no longer
physically with us we just have to bide our time
until our time comes when we can stand with them
again.
Brilliantly written yet again

Rich

The hook for me is often the title
It leads me to the start of a journey, wondering where it will go and how it will end.
I wasn/'/t disappointed here.
Great write

Steve

//// Very interesting, indeed.

Some ambiguity which makes it even more powerful, in my not so humble opinion.

Thanks,
