Clouds shroud the sky
Blacking out the stars and moon
Wind sings through the trees
A song of apathy
Spring has fled never to return
Winter has nothing left to give
Darkness and despair fills the gloom
All is lost forever
Numb the birds are quiet
As no one is left to care
Neither happy or sad just drifting
On nothing at all

I have seldom heard depression described so well. It is a persistent state of apathy. How do we deal with feelings of nothingness? How do we battle an enemy that isn/'/t there?
Your message is accurate to the symptoms. Depression holds hostage the ability to feel.
As you conclude JUST DRIFTING ON NOTHING AT ALL.

This brings to mind what might happen after someone experiences a great loss. Everything important ripped away leaving you just drifting with seemingly nothing.
Great emotional imagery. |

Depression summed up in the most honest way. Drifting - just drifting, you are a lyrical genius. Just know you are not alone. |

wonderful to see a new write from you! :)
This is a perfect depiction of hopelessness. It sweeps
over this poem with a fierce indifference. Drifting, in some
instances, can be felt as a sort of carefree liberation, but in
this case, it/'/s sad, lonely and a bit lost. Fantastic write!
