makes me think of how one may need to get away from humanity
after being let down to many times
but then realizing and missing the comfort
of the joy of being alive an the pleasures
interactions with others

The shortest poem I/'/ve yet seen from you, friend. But, it is not without a message, which is requisite to your style.

Definitely a story there....prose...yes, I would love to read some prose of yours!

Kindness,

Mike

Remember my poem called /'/Minimalism/'/? This was it. .

Someone said it was my best yet! I loved it.

"Seclusion is a shelter"

Sounds like heaven to me. I think that`s /
    /part/
/ of the reason I don`t write like I used to. It`s the way some us them there poets just are.

Howdy, ma`am...oopsies, I mean Queen Softy.

Seriously, I`m on the same page as U_U`s comment.

Vedy interesting!

Sadder yet if the knock was heard.
Sometimes the fear is just too great.

Not meant to be a long term residence there are times
when we all need to take a step back and just let
life pass us by for a while before going back.
For me sitting idle watching as things unfold around
me is one of the hardest things for me to do.
Learning this lesson the hard way...the harder you
try to draw something or someone closer to you the
more in fact that you tend to push that something
or someone away. So we need to take that step
back and let those around us "miss" us and realize
how much they need us. This is something that
I am struggling with at the moment.
Once again a greatly important message
expressed in so few words

Rich

Hiding... so true, so short, and so sweet.

For me, when I was younger my first time experiencing heartbreak was enough to seclude my self. When I felt the security I didn/'/t stop, and didn/'/t get close to anybody. I/'/m not //quite// the same now, but I am still a little like that.

One of the worst things in that is you lose sight of who you are and have nothing for reference but who you //were//, since you/'/re hidingyou/'/re repressing your emotions to the point they become dull... much like the opposite of the story of the proverbial blind man. It/'/ll put a damper on relationships and constantly leave life feeling unfulfilled. Avoid the trap! Lol

I have to pause before commenting. There is so much in these three lines. Beautiful...just beautiful.

i like this Dickensonish style you are working on. Please keep at it. Share with us the wisdom of a life truly lived.
