The two of them argue and disagree,
Til one of them wins out eventually!

Age is in store and so hard to ignore;
When strangers rush in to fling open our doors,
Like matadors greeting a dinosaur.

A gesture from youth to a knarly old tree;
By an orchard of saplings -- who one day will be
Victims of homage that none can repay.
By a moment of kindness too swiftly away. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 79 [topic] => 21 [informant] => softerware [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )

"Inside every old person, is a young person looking in the mirror saying ` What the hell happened?`"

You have such a great way with words I/'/m amazed consistently.

Thank you!

Age is but a number. It is what we have done in
our lives and situations and events that we have
endured that determines how young or how old we
feel. I hold open doors out of respect and kindness.
That is the southern boy in me (lol)
Believe me I still feel out of sorts in NJ. even after
17 1/2 year of living here.
You are 74 years young. Gnarly old tree? Never :))

Brilliant as always my friend
Rich

Great right-write....
Me? I/'/m just tired of feeding the machine that no longer shares my views but instead has turned on me. As a white male I am the enemy and as a grow older I become more of an enemy. My mind is clear but tired of the day to day bs. Which is aging my views. As you said... Inside I feel like a kid but I often wonder how the neck I got here and where did all the years go??
