Just me and the kid at home.
Heard a growl; Then a howl. .
Under bed. Playing dead.
Staircase quivers; sitter shivers
Up the staircase. Goosebump jitters!
Monster, ghost, burgler, thief?
Death be brief; Kids asleep!!
Thump thump thump. On the door.
Open slowly. On the floor
Eyes and toothy grin look up
Worried wagging collie pup
Note to self; epilog.
Next time ask if theres a dog!

nice thought,
the child-like
kid you trusted,
did all they could
because, they
cared about them
kids,
they cared about them,
kids,
They never ever stopped
caring about them,
kids,
because they feel
as though they were
their own.
Because they
were uninformed
and they knew it,
Just like the people
who hired them
were.

Peace!

Lovely write. I really love this.
Reminds me of a house I was flipping. I spent a hard day
painting it and I sat for a few minutes on the front steps
which had two bushes on either side. I never thought much about it. Something rubbed up against me and scared the heck out of me.

It was a lost little puppy of about 6 weeks old. We were the best of buddies for over 15 years. The best thing that ever found me.

I think we all have done that at a job
Start working and realize in hindsight that there
were questions that we should have asked at the
interview about the job. :)
Although being scared by an dog or cat is better than
being scared by a person. At least to me it is.
Cute write I really enjoyed this.
