Darkness falls, a blackened veil
Wind speaks in a weary wail
Ominous, away I sail
To imagined lands of yore...

Yea through time I wander lost
On my soul the cold and frost
Of the night that does accost
Drifting now forever more...

There in haze of moments past
On horizon eyes are cast
Drinking to the very last
Poisoned drops of yesterday...

Bitter wine, a taste of hell
Conscience speaks, its tale to tell
Of regrets death can /'/ t dispel
As life fades and slips away

This has a quiet beauty that reminds me of snow falling, how it makes everything around me stand still. This inspired me.

Love the way you rhymed in this one. Excellent writing!

That last stanza wrapped in the sads.

Thank you,

Tim
