Of Burgundy Creek
Where the mellow
Mesh with the meek
Marveled beauty of nature
For whom many come to seek
Wind swept stalks of wheat
Gently rustle as they speak
They call out to the wild
Down the mountain they sweep
The birds and bees
High and low in the trees
They too yearn for the call
Summer is now gone
Time to ready for the Fall

Beautiful piece. Makes me wish that I lived in the
country miles from anyone. Where the saying
"Silence is golden" takes on new meaning. The whole
piece flows so wonderfully like a mountain stream
running through a serene forest.
I really enjoyed this very much, Thank you for sharing

Rich

Sounds like a wonderful place.
You have created a paradise to retreat to, and the best part is, you have let us all come with you!
I/'/m going to come back and read this again. Nice to know there are still places like Burgundy Creek; unspoiled and awaiting our imaginations!

I envision the marshes and valleys that I pass every time I travel upstate to see relatives for the holidays. A wonderful sight indeed. Beautiful work here,

Deidra

I`ll always have a soft spot for good nature poetry and you should be proud of this one. Very visual and flows freely. I hear the call!
