But my tears are in vain
And currently my life is filled with nothing but pain
Both my legs are broke, tryna walk with no cane
My thoughts are scrambled, forgetting what’s in my own brain
My family is estranged
And my body is tame
Or it's trying to be
But on the inside I'm really trying to be free
Love is what I need
But every time I try to reach
It scatters away from me
Sometimes I just want to walk out the door and leave
Just pick up my keys and run
So I can find what I need

I thought family was suppose to help me, ( or I used to think)
But family has made my life worst
A child born, but my birth must have been a curse
For my biological genes
The mother who left me when I was younger than three
See, look what family has done for me

I can remember when I was little
Waiting to die
Waiting to lie in my cloud bed
Up above the earth in the heavens
Where my soul could rest
And I learned early that life isn’t safe
Unless in a metal dome with a bullet proof vest
And even that won’t make it safe
With all the new scientific gadgets
That can make anything a hazard

And right now my attitude is erratic
Happy then sad, then at the whole world I’m mad at
wanna laugh and then cry
wanna live then die
Telling the truth but I lie
Asking the Lord why
Oh why
Is my life the way it is
The way in which my heart is hurt
Without a bloodstain on my shirt
My words lashing out like an outburst of feelings that
I never thought I could express
Nevertheless I want to keep them to myself
To hide them from the world
This wise old woman trapped inside the body of this teenage girl
That can’t say what she knows
Because they say she needs a few more years to grow intellectually
But after the pain I have experienced
My wisdom is at its peak

Im trying to do what I have to
While I’m in my prime point of my teenage life
See all the strife that includes me
And then again I cry [comments] => 2 [counter] => 267 [topic] => 48 [informant] => RealCrystal [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

My words lashing out like an outburst of feelings that
I never thought I could express...

Very nice line. My favorite poem yet. Thank you for sharing.
