I’m standing beneath this darkened rain, my soul devoid of pain
And I’m holding your invisible hand to this heart that won’t feel
There’s a black void in my eyes and a numbness in my soul
And there’s an ache inside that I know my tears will never heal
I’m surrounded by this never-ending life that’s blind and weak
As I long for the bullet to embrace me and end my pain
And there’s a velvet oblivion that I want to meet and sink into
As I stand and cry over these lost feelings and broken blades
I’m listening to these frozen teardrops falling all around me
As they slowly soothe away the red tears on my weeping flesh
Wasted razorblades lie in these puddles that surround me
And these black roses that blind me form my scars of regret
And I’m dancing with my imaginary lover in this pouring rain
Holding onto the love affair with this gun in my broken hand
And there’s a golden promise to end my life
As I crumple to the floor, because this pain is all I never had

This is an amazing and well expressed poem. Pain has its limit and when it crosses it, u get numb. But despite of numbness of your soul, can feel the depths of pain so deep inside of you. God bless you!

| wow... just discovered your poetry and have read it all over the last 2 days (some more than once!)... you capture emotions that completely illude most people and write them so beautifully with such detached passion... you seem to feel so much pain yet write with such incredible beauty... amazing... am quite speachless (although this ramble would suggest otherwise) :) will def be waiting to read more of yours... hehe dont mean to go overboard with the praise, but... |
