[hometext] => There are subjects we just dont contend.
[bodytext] => Beware, take care, if you should dare to write about religion. Or know the woe of those who so regret that rash decision.
God is very personal, and you are not rehearsed, In how we chose to think of Him when you burst into verse.
Write about the devil, and you have the worlds permission. Nursery rhymes, murder, crimes, bring writers recognition!
Why you can slander presidents, and local politicians, Impune a race or hurl disgrace, and we will cheer your vision!
Free speech is writers’ right of course but poets have come to harm;
From readers who have freedoms too; for instance, to bear arms.
Write books of horns and unicorns, and sex and strong libations! Spare us tales of halos, heaven, virgins and salvation.
Stay below with what you know, let others take those hurdles; And you can write to your delight, til sacred cow milk curdles.

Absolutely so!
Even here you run into that.
Patriotic poetry here seems good for zero comments.
Sad ranks higher than glad...
Another jewel Jaye. |

How very true. Seeing how we like to consider
ourselves the most fortunate people on earth due to
the country in which we live which has "granted" us
"rights and liberties" paid by the blood of countless
millions over the centuries. Here/'/s a fact that i am
sure that many would want to argue...that the
Constitution of the United State of America was
suspended due to the 1933 state of emergency
which FDR promised to end before he left office which
we know that he died before his term ended when
his vice president Harry S. Truman was sworn into
office. Every president since has been made aware of that suspension and have done nothing
about ending it. People wonder why it seems like
there have been laws passed that have seemed to
be unconstitutional...Think about it.
As a veteran I sacrificed 5 yrs of my life for rights
I dont even have. Some people see this as a
conspiracy theory, me personally i honestly
believe it to be true. Too much evidence to think
otherwise. I dont like fighting with people but
there are times after I read something where I
cant keep my thoughts inside.
Once again Jaye your brilliance shines.

I find it so ironic that religion is supposed to be a tolerance of others and their ideals, yet so often is a device to divide and differentiate.
These are certainly difficult times to voice "certain" opinions or dare to discuss subjects which are now taboo.
Everyone has an opinion, but not everyone is allowed to state it.
