[hometext] => One man/'/s treasure...
[bodytext] => You touched the dream
but didnt know how to hold it
I held the dream
but never felt its touch
You shared a dance
but never heard the music
A tune forever to my heart I"ll clutch
The lips you kissed
had been my inspiration
Yet uninspired
you turned those lips away
So funny
but then why am I not laughing...
Its all a bit ironic, wouldnt you say?
You walked beside an angel
but didnt see her
I saw her
but could not be at her side
It wasnt everything
that you had hoped for
But everything
for which I would have died
That old man Fate sure has a sense of humor
And fate it seems
will always rule the day
So funny
but then why am I not laughing...
Its all a bit ironic, wouldnt you say?

Yes it is. I notice the same about the measure of quality
in my business dealings. Try selling Lexus refinement to a hearing impaired person and so on. Try selling me abstract art. It ain/'/t going to happen. Great write and so true. |

Your have spun a delicate little spider web of a tale, walking us along a tightrope of hopeful sentiments.. leading to the inevitable hindsight, with sarcasm befitting the experience!
Wishful dreamy memories become reality. The change is well executed and keeps bringing us back and forth. You have a gift of knowing exactly how to play your readers. And the delight of it all is, you have already answered the question you leave for us.
I so enjoyed this.

What I wouldn`t give to have some things that others take for granted or casually throw away, and the true irony that your piece bring to my mind is what perhaps do I take for granted... |
