I look up at you
You are looking at me, too
I avert my eyes away
Every single day
You try to make eye contact
But we didnt sign a contract
I guess thats my fault because now
You arent my friend, I dont know how
Or even why
But you said goodbye
No you didnt say even that
Just walked away and probably laughed
So, now you look at me
All this I can see
When I look up, you are looking
At me, seem to be waiting
For me to make eye contact
But since we didnt sign a contract,
I always look down
Trying not to frown
I cant let our eyes meet
I cant let that be
You hurt me already
Making eye contact always
Brings back the pain
And I begin to drain
When I look into your eyes
And see all of the lies

| Sprints... this is such a sad poem. The pain is still there and grieving is important but you need to move on from this person. Do not limit yourself, you have a lot to bring to anyone in a relationship. |
