Array ( [sid] => 98466 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => The Man [time] => 2005-06-18 09:23:08 [hometext] => [bodytext] => There was a man who didn't have any love in his heart,
From heaven he had fallen from God he did part.
The reason for his lack of love is clear for all to see,
his mother died at birth and father left when he was three.
What this man did was the worst of any sin,
a serpent's body he entered and let his plan begin.

In a beautiful garden with flowers and rivers galore,
There the man waited to carry out the deed i mentioned before.
After hours of waiting an innocent girl he did see,
'Here my dear' said the man, 'eat the fruit of this tree.'
The girl she did question why she should eat this fruit,
'It will give you knowledge, said he, 'this is the root.'
The girl she ate the fruit and gave it her friend,
The man he had won, for mankind and immortality this was the end.

But after the man had realised the depth of the deed he had done,
He wished he hadn't done it, from God he tried to run.
God saw the man hiding in the same very tree,
God said 'from here art thou banished, from here to the depths of the world go ye.'
The man told God he was sorry and from God he didn't want to depart,
For the first time ever he felt a love and sadness in his heart.
But God could not let the man off from his terrible act,
And so the man departed to the underworld where it is cruel and black.

When the man entered the darkness he was overwhelmed by fear,
For the first time in his life into his eye entered a tear.
It was not the fact of the burning fires or the pain he wanted to leave,
It was the fact that he missed the love in heaven the caring he did need.
This made the man more bitter and hatred re-entered his soul,
'From now on i will be evil, he said, this is forever my goal.'

If only God forgave him,
If only God let him be,
Perhaps there would be no evil in the world,
Perhaps the man would be free.
