(behind the bars)
that protect my heart
im calling out to you
no sound escapes my lips
im frightened
your happy
(to you)
this quietness is bliss
these feelings
(i can no longer fathom)
as tears fill my eyes
(deep pools of blue)
reflect vivid memories of us
i try and paint a picture
(with my hands)
disolving trust
emotions
re-awakend by your touch
thoughts of torment
dreams of lust
my soul lies here
so dormant
(yet again)
once eternal flame
leaving nothing but an ember
drowning
resurfacing empty handed
(i remember)
you turn to me
as my exhausted body

stands alone

sewing my lips together
evolving silence
before shackling my hands
to eachother
(forever)
you turn around
and walk away
(without a care)
your steps so slow
as your glance
over your shoulder
reveals your true colours
leaving me amongst your chains
of heavy expectations
(heavily scarred)
showing me you think
everything
(today)

This was filled with a lot of emotion and pain. I liked it although in my opinion the () detracted from the poem. Some very good and powerful writing though.

And call out to thy heart as tho nothing matters more than the two...and the tormented dreams of lust in the flames of one's kiss melts your sewn lips into passions of silence for a while only to be opened with questions that were answered upon thy sweet lips leaving her to turn away with her broken heart in pain....with a smile upon her mask...and leaving him..alone...you write beautifully EmptyWords....i look forward to reading more of your poetry....your words in your poem touched the depth of me...
