BEFORE SUNRISE

'Tis early for many-not us,
About 4ish or 5 a.m. up we are,
'cause dogs are brainless!
They can't tell time, and if I make
them wait.....they sit and whine!
Soft white light shines on the skyline.....

The moon over head is alive,
I smell the early morning freshness,
another day to survive.
I hear the lone meadowlark call......
"Pretty bird do you see me?"
"Pretty bird do you see me?"

No color in my early morning day
Just haze grey, black silhouettes sway.
Can't quite make her out, Miss Robin
is busy,
Deep breaths I take filling my lungs
briskly.

Another beautiful day of life I welcome.
Delightful peace, early tranquility
Light breeze carries a slight chill of Autumn,
Longing for summer my soul waits calmly.

Soon the sunrise with her neon lights
Will shine beauteous colors like high flying kites.
Man will stir, his cars, trucks, airplanes navigate.
Complicated game of chess, each day
another stalemate?

The little moments?
They aren't little.

Ah Yes indeed ConSue the early hours of the fresh morning where the birds greet the coming day. I too awake early and listen to the dawning of a new day. The first birds then the cars and the hum of traffic. I usually turn around and drop off to sleep again knowing that I do not have to get up but can have that luxury of another hour or two. Thank the Lord for retirement where my time is my own.Hugs and poetic love from Martha and Bernard.

Beautiful and profound reminder of the charm of the early hours of the morning. and its virginal freshness.Promise of a new day and its opportunities.
Opportunities for young and old, poor and rich, free gift.
Oppoprtunities to get cracking with new tasks, joyfully!
Cracking new eggs, or those rotund things called zeroes and fill them with Juice.:) :) :) Oh joy!
Wonderful poem Consue.
Thanks for sharing the promise, and its abundant blessing!.
Warm, love
Elizabeth
