I can write:

Tonight, the sky cannot touch me,

or,

You are the sands that steal the sea;

and still you linger, still you sit at the edge of my tongue, at the tips of my fingers;
and still I cannot touch you, still I cannot call forward such strength, such grace as to place on this page the power, the dignity that you uphold.

A flower paper flower crumpled thin the dust and stars
The night over blue sky creased and written here
A fire burning brightly burning bright the light that falls behind you
An open verse my poetry your soft increasing kiss
the sanity fantasy burning in my brain
you are the scent of the sea
you are beautifully broken by the sunlight cast over the sea
the stars sell your name over the night sky
my fingers cannot capture you create you call forward you
the stretching firs across the dying day
the empty swamp that seeps into my sleep

You are the darkness drowning by the bay
the soft incoming tide
the breathlessness of my breath
breathing in the summer day.

I continue because I cannot complete you
you are the ceaseless sentence
the endlessness
my fingers wild crashing wild into waves
and words that couple nothing in their wake

You are the depths of my depth the deepest
dream I've ever dreamed
the doomed incredible sky
crossing my chest
with wounds and kisses. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 192 [topic] => 48 [informant] => iodinelove [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

Wow. I too was left breathless after reading this, letting out my breath before I knew I was holding it. You conect well with the god of poetry.
Take care.
David

P.S. This one reminds me of one of mine, but yours is better, I hate to admit.
