Thanking the Lord for her life,
Wanting and needing, she reaches for more,
It seems nothing can end her strife

She's never alone, but she feels that she is,
Lost in her memories,
Trying to bring back the wonderful days,
Then she gets down on her knees

She smiles every moment, enjoys every day,
She's grieving for those who don't.
She hopes and she wishes that they could,
But inside, she knows that they won't.

No lives are perfect, that she knows
But she yearns to make her friends know,
That though life's not perfect, and can be darkened with stains,
It can still be turned white as snow.

She tries to let go, to cry, to carry
The burdens, she's always trying,
But her tears stay inside her, choking her throat,
And she knows that inside she's dying.

She's never alone, but she feels that she is,
Lost in her memories,
Trying to bring back the wonderful days,
Then she gets down on her knees

She prays to the Lord for his guidance, his truth
In her heartache she wants to be free,
And each night as I see this g!rl hurt for some others,
I know that I'm crying for me. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 182 [topic] => 48 [informant] => humboldthunny17 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 6 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

Wow, this is pretty good for someone with writers block! I enjoyed this immensely and can relate well to it. I love the ending, and this line; "But her tears stay inside her, choking her throat, and she knows that inside she's dying...." Great. Just great.
