Array ( [sid] => 9672 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => The Source [time] => 2003-01-03 07:40:00 [hometext] => I just had to dedicate a poem to the one who blessed me with this gift of speech. And even if your not "religious" you still might like it so don't hesitate. [bodytext] => I’ve been through so much
And I’m going through lots now
My mind remembering the past sounds
Of hate and ignorance
That led to the many tears that hit the ground

And I’m thankful, and joyful
That I have found The Source
The Source of my words, my life, my soul
And this source is the only thing that bounds evil
And throws it in a deep pit under the ground

And then the pain seems little
Compared to the dream this Source has given me
The dream of using words and letters
To make the world a little better

The Source was with the people in the Towers
On that dark solemn day
When the love of the world almost faded away

And the Source cried yet smiled
The Source cried because so many of his children were dying
But the Source smiled because so many of his children were coming back home
To where they belonged
And the Source smiled because he knew the enemy had threaded their own rope in which they would be hung

Yes events such as these bring so much horror and pain
But this Source was there even after the rain
This Source is the one that will sing the cry of justice at the end of the world
This Source is the one who knocked on the heart of this little girl
Inspiring her, Me to continue to write His poetry
Sending out to the world a new message to read
The message that many need to hear

The Source I have found is always near
And It will forever be here
It will be there when the evil one tempts us and thinks he’s won
And this Source reminds us that the battle has not yet begun

You may ask who The Source is
The Source is the one who shed his blood for us
That died without a fuss
The Source is the one who went bravely into the night
Yet arose with a great light
The Source is the one who fills the stomachs of the hungry
Both spiritually, mentally and physically
The Source is the one who comforts those who weep
The Source lives inside of me
The Source is mine, and yours the same
And Jesus Christ is his name
