Scorched and barren of happiness
My tears fall down like drops of rain

Touch me there with your healing hands
Touch my soul deep inside
Heal my heart it feels like sand

All dried up and withered away
Sucked dry of compassion and love
I didn’t want to face another day

Your icy hands so full of gentleness
Touch my bloodless lips and fill them full of cherries
Touch my skin white of fairness
My body trembles with fear
All too familiar with hurt to come
Whisper love in my ear

Soothe my soul with your caring words
Softly take my hand in yours
Fingers can hurt worse than swords

Earn my trust
I’ll give you my heart
I give it to you for love not lust

My wounds inside are deep
I’ll let you touch them with your icy hands
Heal them for me while I’m asleep

Prove your love to me
Say everything that’s true
You will then be given a key

Touch my skin and bring it to life
Make my heart race
Delve inside with your probing knife

I can feel the icy cold inside
The flames of my hell melt away
Feelings long forgotten rush in like the tide

You softly kiss my berry lips
I feel your icy hands slide down my back
Until they rest lightly on my hips

Bones jutting up from under my waist
Sculpted and defined from endless toil
Your lips wander down for a better taste

Do you truly love me?
Of course you say
Then you blow my mind away

Feelings I never knew I had
Arise in me and take over my mind
Innocence turns bad

Keep going faster further now
Find my shining star and take it for yourself
All you can say is wow

Trembling my lips find yours
I can’t seem to get enough
No longer feeling dirty or like a whore

All cruel accusations have escaped my mind
However you respect my purity
For fear of leaving old lives behind

Night falls on the land
Thunder rolls outside
Drowsy and drunk off your icy hands

Hold me close and keep the fear away
Stroke my hair and my skin
Gaze into my eyes the color of fey

I fall asleep so close to you
Your heart racing against mine
Waiting to slow until the day is new

Icy hands trace the lashes of my eyes
They touch my ruby lips
They stroke my apple colored cheeks
Icy hands that lifted me out of the pain and lies [comments] => 3 [counter] => 173 [topic] => 48 [informant] => Kitty06 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )
