We were best friends
For three years
But that all came to an end

You had me, but then you lost me
But then you found me again
Just to let me go
And let me fight in pain

I trusted you, friend
But you just lied
And let me be
You didn’t even try
To hold onto me
After three years
I guess you think it’s ok
To let me shed tears
Is that right?
Is it okay to let me go?
To leave me by myself,
And fight it on my own?

How did we make it?
How were we friends this long?
I don’t understand at all
All you wanted was to throw me down

Thanks for being there three years
But I really do wonder…
How did we last this long?
Let me sit here and ponder
While you run off
You really don’t care about me
You ran to someone new
Left me to fight my enemies
All alone
I watch you run to her
And question
How’d we make it this far?

Hi sprints. I just finished commenting on one of kc's poems and a lot of what I said to her applies here, too. Love is such a weird thing. To me, it doesn't make sense. Like it's voluntary torture. Why we do it... I dunno, we all seem to give our hearts to ppl only to find that it doesn't work out and we get hurt.
You and jennie and kc are like these 3 great friends, and I'm glad to have made the acquaintence of all of you. I hope that you can move past this. Guys can be so damned stupid; as a guy I know this to be true. It doesn't lessen the pain, but know that if he walked away from you, he was not good enough for you and that I firmly believe.
