Why can't I find one that will stay?

Perhaps it's me who actually leaves
Afraid to hold on...afraid to believe,
Afraid what I'll see
Afraid what I'll find
Afraid to let anyone into my mind

One of these days I'll have to hold on

The second section of the poem needs some work. Add some more lines to it, what are you afraid of? How powerful is this fear? What might they see in your mind? A giant monster, raging and destroying? Or perhaps a timid mouse? Give the poem life and description.

i like this alot, and i know how you feel. I still let my fears run my life sometimes, and it was hard for me to get where i am now, but i'll tell you, it's worth all that you go through if you get to a place you want to be. Keep it up.

I understand this poem only too well, I am afraid. When the heart has been bounced and bruised a couple of times, you are not eager to have it happen again and it hard to trust yourself or anyone else in love. Don't give up. I think we will know when it is right. The heart wants what it wants and when that right someone comes, there will be no stopping it.

Good luck,
Rita

Deep and heart filled write. Hurt gets the most of people. With feelings, some do not know how to express...or even give back. Takes 2 you know. And some can get it all. Good luck,,,,,it will happen. I thought your write was good.

beautiful...

who was it that said we have nothing to fear but fear itself? kind of an oxymoron, but it conveys a similar idea. i will tell you though, do not be afraid. read psalms, and you will see... "the Lord God is a sun and a sheild. he bestows honor and favor to those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love." see, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of true wisdom, and it is much different then that paralysing kind of fear that comes from indescision and hoplessness. keep your ears open.. he speaks at unexpected times.

peace,
joshua

Fait accompli !!

Well, holy heck! Have you been reading my journals again?
Seriously, this could have come straight from my very own pen,
(but you have put it down so much better than I ever could.)
Again, there is that positive hope. That "I know she's out
there" attitude. Wonderful wiz. And oh! how I do relate to this!!
