standing in the mist of the morning
being blinded by the stark white
she couldn't say why she took of running
maybe compelled to be alone in the forest
the one place she ever really felt whole--
only today she felt oddly unhuman
because she was unable to speak
she knew what to say to him but couldn't
much like animals that were all around her
that seemed afraid to come closer
maybe today they could feel her apprehension
they knew she was shivering to fight it off
still they understand her anger and left--
somehow she had managed to lose heart
damning herself for letting it happen
why would anyone betray her with someone else
most of all betray her with her best friend
cause the foreign emotion she felt
something that almost seemed like pain
she needed him most now but refused to go back
instead she decided to run fast as she could
hopefully to someone who would soothe her pain.
