Look for it like it was eternal life
Help yourself, no one else can
Don’t give up, put away the knife

Like the peaceful dove that found the flower,
Search and you shall find
The one thing that you’re looking for
Bliss and peace of mind

Deep inside a depressed state
There’s always one thing there
Someone who loves you enough to give their life
So you will no longer despair

Every cloud has a sliver lining
And everyone has pain
You’re not the only one, remember that
So look for the sunshine through the rain

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

words cut deeper than a knife
carving at my soul
hurting deeper than anyone can imagine
tearing me in two
you give me strength to stay away from the knife
you’re the one that pulls me through

I’ve tried to pretend everything is ok
Sometimes it’s hard
Sometimes I stray
You bring me back
Keep me sane
And I see the sunlight shining through the rain

It makes me feel safe
Knowing you’ll always be here
You make me strong just being near

If I have no one else to talk to
You give me insight
To let my emotions out
{writing through the night}
you take my hand
you help me up
when I’m feeling down
finding it hard to stand

I know I haven’t always been
Your number one fan
But I’ve been brought to believe
Brought to understand
I appreciate you more than words can say
You’ve saved my life
Saved my mind
And now I could see that
Even if I was blind

Thank you
