I saw you last night and you smiled at me
like nothing has changed and we
were still in love with nothing to fear,
but i lost you sometime last year
you were all i ever wanted in my life
but you just couldn't love me the same way
i begged and pleaded for your to stay
but you still walked out of my life..
your smile warmed my heart and broke it in peices
slowly you walked my way and i wanted to run
but my legs wouldn't move and my eyes started to tear
you reached out to hug me... and i moved away
you looked surprised there was no love in my eyes
you asked me what has changed
i told you things will never be the same
you asked me to understand that you fell in love
how can i when all you love to me has only been a lie
you want me to accept you've walked away
my question is why don't you stay
stay away from me, stay out of my life
go ahead let her be your wife
she dont' love you the way i did
she'll never understand you
the way i did
and she'll never lose you
the way i did....
but you see what i did now
i walked away drying my own tears
you asked me where i was going
well wouldn't you like to know
all i can say is i let you go...

I am at a loss of words... This poem is so bitter-sweet. I really understand and like 'she'll never understand you the way I did and she'll never lose you the way I did'
