The heart's song

The lyrics sound the same
a songbird out of tune
tis' equivalent to
darkness without a moon

morbid and dark
verse after verse
it's the same ole song
no need to rehearse

the echo from the past
supplies the lowly beat
motivating a withered soul
to begin shuffling her feet

toward a road unknown
where her destiny shall lie
bass of volcanic eruptions
or the booming thunder high

whichever direction
she shan't complain
new to rainbows
brethren to rain

to those left behind
I pray you'll be strong
when it comes time to sing
your own heart song.......
