Array ( [sid] => 92842 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Silly Southern Girl [time] => 2005-04-30 18:12:48 [hometext] => I wrote this about a girl I love, and will never stop loving. This was my first attempt at poetry, I just sat down at my computer, loaded up word pad, let my feelings flow. [bodytext] => You're the reason I want to change.
You're the reason I work hard.
You're the reason I set some goals for myself.

I so badly want to take you away from this place.
Away from the people that you hate.
Away from the people that have wronged you.

I so dearly want to take you away from here
Give you what you deserve out of life.
Give you the things you've always wanted.

I so deeply want to be with you.
To hold you in my arms.
To call you mine.

How I long for the day we may be together.
I always wonder if you feel the same.
If our minds work the way I think they do.

I am working so hard to be worthwhile.
I am trying to be the best I can be.
I am attempting to win your heart.

These seemingly limitless miles that are between us,
Can't nearly be as far off as it feels.
Would we be able to best the distance?

You're leaving far away,
Right after the school days end.
Would you really leave me behind?

I want to apologize to you,
For all those foolish things I've said.
After all of this I wish I were dead.

That cannot happen, however.
As it would disappoint you.
And I would never want to do that.

You may find me unattractive.
And I don't hold that against you.
Who wants a, "Beauty and the Beast" story in their life?

I don't blame you for not feeling the same.
I am sorry that I get so jealous about nothing.
I am just worried someone will take you away from me.

I know in my heart,
That we didn't meet by coincidence.
It feels much more like fate.

Maybe you do not see it.
I know that I do.
It has to be true!

Silly girl, I know.
You say that I am amazing,
If that were true, how come I'm not with you?

With that aside, I will continue on with this life so lonely.
Knowing in my heart that the single girl I want,
Is you, my one and only. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 224 [topic] => 2 [informant] => Bosley [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LovePoetry )

Great poem, Bosley!
It seems you're having a little girl trouble. : )
The best advice I can give you is to continue being as nice as you are right now. : )

Keep up the good work!
