Array ( [sid] => 92263 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Diverted [time] => 2005-04-25 22:06:48 [hometext] => *** This is part of everything and all of nothing. It's been waiting for a few weeks, with increasing impatience. I had planned to tear it apart and put it back together... but it... begged to be set free. *** [bodytext] =>

Everytime… every time now
I give myself to the thought
When I drift on by the places
Where hope and love was lost
Etched in stone the names and
Dates, are given to the winds
Yet carved into my consciousness
Is a beginning not an end
Never had I imagined that there
Inside a moment’s hush
Would I hear a bird’s gentle song
And feel excitement rush

Everyday… every day now
Unresisting, I open my arms wide
To the whispers that fall among
The stones, beneath a growing sky
For there as time disappeared
I watched the shadows bend
And the air felt wonderfully heavy
As I swallowed some of it in
Never had I dared to imagine
That this dream might be mine
But this, now, one too many thing
That begs me cross the line

Everyone… every one now
Was transformed to something less
When time and place fell away
There where past and present met
For I knew before confirmation
That the perspective was the same
And I felt so very not alone
Standing amid forgotten names
Never again shall I forget
That it has been so all along
A soul will find its way home
When forever has come and gone [comments] => 12 [counter] => 299 [topic] => 21 [informant] => Silent-No-More [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 30 [ratings] => 6 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )

Wow! so much here.
This write eminates a "peacefulness" and contentment with the course that life is taking. A trust in fate, and yet it has an excitement to it as well, a coming into awarenss that feels refreshing and new.
Inspiring and reassuring at the same time.
What a wonderful creation!

Sounds like a fresh start. How your stuff can be so lyrical without rhyming is beyond me, but what you do - you do well. Nice stuff, Snem. J.

Even your comment before the poem induces a smile. :-)
