than any I know
He's not friend or kin
He is my foe

To everyone else
he shows his favor
but his dealings with me
he's a tyrant and slaver

I wear no biohazard logo
his reaction's so weird
but undeniable his hate
which makes him so feared

Each day brings forth
new verbal abuse
I hope and I pray
that he'll cut me loose

One day I vomited
on my drive into work
My stomach so sick
at the thought of the jerk

Pulled sword out at home
and smashed a bookcase
not much consolation
Rather cut up his face

I'm not really a killer
I've been described as so mild
Just way past the edge
that's making me wild

I'm trapped in this job
'cause I need the money
People joke it off
but it's really not funny

So off to work I go
braced for the attack
I wanna go home
and never go back

it's hard to believe you contained all that emotion in such a strong poetic structure! i give you all the credit to a great and powerful piece. Keep it up, and stay strong.

wow... thats interesting. a great write... but i cant believe that you hate your job so much. it must really suck for you to have to endure so much just to get the money. unless im looking at this poem the wrong way...
i really like the style and tone of your writing. you never cease to amaze me.

I just thought of something...is this a poem about your manager? Or a warning about all managers?
