She didn't know how to look without looking so deep
She didn't know how to love without loving too much
But she knows that when she hurts, she dies just a little

She sees the world in reds or she sees it in blues
She knows she loves you but she's not sure it matters
So she runs away into someone else's arms
Because over and over again, you're not there

There's so much she needs and so much you won't give
What she saw in you, no one else ever will
There's a lot of things she won't admit out loud
Like there's no one she'd rather be with than you

Maybe you love her and maybe you don't
I think you've forgotten the way it was
The way she used to always make you feel
How you used to need nothing but her love

She used to look into your eyes and
See everything she wanted in you
Everything she wanted you to be
'Cause you were already all of it

She's always known she'll never be
Everything that she wants to be
And without you she's incomplete
But she hasn't shed a tear yet

Now she's half the girl she was
And it's all slipping away
She doesn't believe in herself
That's what she needs you here for

She needs you to make her
The kind of girl that would
Never need anyone
For what she needs you for

She wishes she could
Keep herself in line
But she's so lonely
I bet you are too

So you're turning
From each other
Who knows how long
You'll play this game

Pretending
And lying
And loving
Through it all

Missing
Needing
Turning
From you

Just
Be
Her
