[Prophet XIII to the Angel of Mercy]

What of fools who do not know their fate?
What of fools who do?
Who know their fate, who know their mission is useless,
But pursue it just the same?
What of them?
What of me?
What of us?

For in all of us, there is an endeavor,
In which the outcome is already known,
And we will lose,
We will lose, and yet we continue to go on,
Continue to fight; fight for the faintest hope of which that…
Of which that…
Of which that we will win, but alas, never we do.

Like the inevitability of death, so too of this,
And for what?
For that longing hope,
The hope left from the ill curiosity of Pandora
From the ill knowledge of defeat, so we continue to fight,
To no end.

And what is my endeavor?
What is my useless hope?
You.
You; you ever loving me,
Tis a wish that can not be fulfilled,
Like the beating of one’s heart,
I continue to pursue,
Until my last beat,
My last breath.

But still…
My wish…unfulfilled.
My gracious lord why?
What cruelty is this?
What cruelty had befallen my tormented soul?
Where as, with all the power of my being,
I fight to be there, as yours,
And you mine,
But the cruelest of jokes is on me,
That being: my love is one-sided,
And that you, my sun, my stars,
And my moon.
My moon,
My red moon,
With the color of my blood,
The color of my heart: destroyed

And so,
I continue to fight
The hopeless battle,
That I have been subjected to,

And yet, even with my last breath,
My last being of power…
I do not regret.
I see you now with your love,
The love destined to you by fate,
The one who is not I.
And although it pains me,
Pains me like the piercing of the sharpest,
Coldest dagger, in my heart, in my soul,
To see you with someone else,
I would not turn back the sands of time,
And I do not rue the day I met you,

But I will continue to dream,
Dream of my sacred peace.
But wait…
What of a dream, that can become a reality?
I can fulfill my dream of eternal peace.

I will leap out,
Leap out into the hands of the savior,
So that I can be in final rest.

There I will find my peace,
But as I leap,
I will still see you,
And I will forever love you,
With all of my being,
Because, above all else,
I will always be near you,
My angel,
My prophet,

For I am destined to be alone,
Destined by the aspects of fate, time, and death,

Because your love belongs to another,
And because of my fate,
I must allow you to live truly.
As I leap to my death, by the fate of cruelty,
And for a fleeting moment I understand,
As the ground below me, begins to expand,
And the world begins to dim,
And angels catch me, enthralled
I finally realize,
I have answered.

.....Answered the sacred Call.
