World In Pain
~~~~~
Woke up this morning to a pounding rain
As if the world was crying out in pain
I saw the lightning light up the sky
As the thunder roared its way by
With coffee in hand, I just stared
As if it was something I feared
For if my life wasnt where it should be
Then surely this rain would be pouring on me

I wiped the tear that had formed in my eye
I thought about the many who struggle to get by
So lost and completely alone
Forsaken by all that theyve known
Though the Father who reins from above
Has willingly offered an unconditional love
Yet so many have completely refused to see
How his love could have set them free

So they wander in darkness consumed in pain
Being poured on by a sobering rain
All because they fail to see
Just how different their lives could be
If they would accept what the Lord has to give
What a completely different life they would live
For no Christian should have to live with pain
When Gods offering sunshine to dry the rain
