Array ( [sid] => 9123 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Nana's gift [time] => 2002-12-23 12:00:00 [hometext] => Dedicated to my grandchild born Easter morning weighing only 2 pounds and 1 ounce on her First Christmas. [bodytext] => I received a gift
beyond any I have known.
In a miraculous moment
a grandchild of my own.
Born too early and
struggling to live.
Little did I know
what this little miracle would give.
She gave me hope in
believing God is near.
Her birth was not by accident
theres a reason she is here.
Nine months later she
has overcome much her past.
Changing each and every day,
the time has gone by fast.
Since the moment she came
and opened up those eyes,
this sweet baby girl
has changed my life.
She is happy and healthy
with such a strong will.
I believe in angels
but this one is real.
My own special angel
who speaks to my soul.
Bringing me warmth in
a world often times cold.
The gift of life is so
precious to behold.
A journey we all take
until one day must grow old.
The Alpha and Omega
the beginning and end.
God is close and hand
he is a forever friend.
Giving us promise that life
goes on with each and every birth.
His precious little angels
to roam right here on earth.
I thank you dear Lord,
for the miracle she is.
Bless her and watch over her
all the days that she lives.
She is already doing
what you sent her to do.
She brought us just
a little closer to you.
I hope I can someday
make her understand,
how her being here
was part of your plan.
To bring a family to its knees
trembling in fear.
But you have been there
beside her in this first year.
I praise you Dear Lord
for this sweet child I love.
Nana's little angel sent special delivery
from heaven above.

This is a very nice poem. I almost lost my last born. I was about 20 weeks pregnant and had a 50/50 chance. He is now 5 years old. I guess I might say he was my birthday and christmas present all wrapped up into one. Thanx for the great read. It brought back memories. *S* Cynthia
