[hometext] => The eye color in this poem symbolizes the differences in a relationship that people try to point out. The differences that others don't agree with when it comes to love.
[bodytext] => Even though your eyes are brown, And mine are ocean blue. Whoever said they should be the same? ‘Cause brown is pretty too. Besides, an ocean wouldn’t have its beauty, Nor it’s perfect depth. Even the bluest ocean, Needs a place to intercept. An ocean without her sands, Would never calm, or cease to stress. Only when she hugs them, Will her waves be put to rest. Or what about a mountain, That appears to be strong and tall. Without a blue sky behind it, It would have no background at all. See, blue and brown might seem different, But not when it comes to us. We have everything we need, From love, to faith, to trust. And I don’t care what people say, Our eyes are just the same. Though yours are brown and mine are blue, Once color they became. And soon, everyone will see, One color instead of two. They’ll see us as one set of eyes, Instead of brown and blue.
