My body racking with silent sobs and pain
Terrified tears rolling down my cheeks
Contractions coming faster, again and again

Praying for the bell to ring
So I can get out of this place
And find someone who can help me
Through my agony, torment, and disgrace

Even with my head down
I hear my teacher approach
Knowing I need help, I turn to her
She gently holds me close

She takes me out to the hallway
And I explain what has transgressed
Eight months ago I was raped
By another teacher, I confess

I was afraid to tell anyone
I didn't want to cause them pain
My family had already been through so much
Another problem might drive them insane

It embarrassed me to be pregnant
Even though I did nothing wrong
I already loved the life inside of me
I felt that, for him or her, I had to stay strong

But into premature labor I went
The anguish was more than I could bear
So I explained to her what had transgressed
I had never been more scared

To the hospital we went
In a whirl of pain, tears, and fright
After hours of undescribable agony, I delivered
I had a little girl that night

I will never forget the look on her face
Her beautiful blue eyes and adorable smile
It sounds cheesy, but words cannot describe
The love I felt, and feel, for that child [comments] => 5 [counter] => 178 [topic] => 65 [informant] => NightOwl [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 9 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => toughstuff )
