|
Darkness rushes after you
Chasing you through this maze
Stepping on your heals
Insidious in every way.
Glancing over your shoulder
Eyes revealing your worst fear.
For my warning screams,
You failed to hear.
Breath catching in your throat
As panic quickly spreads
Numbing your thoughts
And blocking out what Ive said.
And as this terror consumes
Controlling every thought
You neglect to hear the words
You forever sought.
And these words
Simple as they may seem
Would be enough to mend
The pain that lives within.
But forever shall you remain deaf
To my persistent whispering,
My bittersweet I love yous
Always fading into the shadows.

This is a sad, but wonderfully written piece of poetry. Expressed so deep and so well. A great poem conveyed very well.

It is good, AM.
I like it alot,
that was an exciting first stanza.
I like the urgent but grim narrative.
Reminded me
of The Crow comics,
the sad romantic atmosphere
and the words.
