Afraid?
Don’t be afraid!
So spoke the late Pontiff
Whose great influence will endure,
And who leaves behind a rich legacy,
Keep this well impressed on your mind!
And hang on to this truth
Don’t ever be
Afraid!

Amen
Was his last word,
And bells began to toll,
And the entire world listened
With great sadness, but also with great joy!
The faithful servant met his Lord
Went home to our father
Task accomplished!
A M E N !

Simplicity in words, as was the man. Simplicity fits the greatest among us like it was custom made for that person. His plainness showcased Salvation, not as complex, but as a simple choice of paths. A Saint in our own times. He honored his Master with every breath he took.

Your tribute is short, powerful, and stunningly beautiful. John Paul II, was, and is, long on humility, short on sinfulness, and eternally with God.

How great the benefits . . . how small the cost . . .
how wonderfully special are the ones never lost.

John

Great poem. That is what I would want my last words to be to family and friends who are afraid for me to go to that place beyond.
